Hi, I’m Michelle Ochoa (a.k.a MO), a freelance lighting designer, programmer and production electrician and it’s a pleasure to meet you!
For the last 20 years I have been working in event lighting and production in a wide variety of roles and locations around the world. This wide array of experience has made me confident that no matter the constraints, I have the skills and attitude you need to help make your production a success. In addition to drawing on past experience, I also make sure to never stop learning. This includes keeping up to date on the latest consoles, software and gear, attending training classes, seminars and industry trade shows, as well as finding mentors in all areas of production.
On my off time I enjoy getting out into nature at places like Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire in Las Vegas. Living in Las Vegas also allows me to see plenty of great shows. I try to catch as many as I can when I’m home. My current favorites are the Gwen Stefani residency, “Just a Girl” and just about any live show at Brooklyn Bowl or The Chelsea in The Cosmopolitan Hotel. Nature and music are my biggest sources of inspiration for my work, mind, body and soul!
